The IDF on Wednesday night attacked, using IAF aircraft, terrorist targets belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in northern Gaza.

Four different targets were attacked in a military compound, including terrorist buildings and infrastructure, said the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

In addition, three additional targets were attacked at a weapons production facility.

The air strikes were in retaliation for the heavy machine gun fire at the city of Sderot and several shooting incidents directed at IDF soldiers during the day on Wednesday.

“The Hamas terrorist organization is solely responsible for what is going on in the Gaza Strip and it will bear the consequences for the terrorist acts being carried out from Gaza against the citizens and sovereignty of Israel,” the IDF Spokesperson said.

“The IDF is determined to continue to fulfill its missions and to ensure security and a sense of security for the residents of Israel,” it added.
